culturing phyto/rotifers and automating dosing?

Iv been looking into culturing my own phyto and rotifers because phyto feast is getting expensive and has a terrible shelf life.

Iv seen some people set up dorm mini fridge's and set up a dosing pump in it to automatically dose them. is it possible to do this and culture them at the same time?

always looking for a new project thats over my head.

I don't believe you can culture them in the fridge...needs to be between 68-88 degrees from what i read...but it looks like culturing phyto is pretty easy. Rotifers not as easy but probably not hard once you know what to do...

i know you need to store the phyto in the fridge once its made but what if you have a dosing pump inside the culture as it is being made and dosed it directly into the tank from there.

I think it wouldnt need to be stored in colder temps if its dumped right into the system

this is 2013 dont culture phyto just by a bag of rottigreen omega and keep it frozen .. lasts 2 years.

You only refrigerate it, once you take it off life support...no air, no heat, etc. you could dose right from the bottle, the only issue I see is that you have different levels of maturity, etc and you need to also replenish and feed the phyto. So from what I've read, you have a batch cooking and a batch in reserve.
