Swabbie users?

Anyone out there using one? I'm considering getting one and a skimmate locker...whats your feedback?

I think I need to get a neck cleaner, I purchased all the right parts to make my own but never got around to it, not in the mood for DIY right now.

Dace, lnevo, now that it has been about 6 months or more, are you guys still using the swabbie and if so does it truly make life easier?

The current stand sucks, too low, I need to put one of these things in and not have to touch the skimmer every two days.

Any drawbacks to the neck cleaner? what schedule for complete cup cleaning do you find yourself following?

I just cleaned my skimmer cup on Thursday after 28 days without. I had a full skimmate locker. It works great. I'm very happy with it. About to do WC and just finished testing. Phosphates at 0ppm and Nitrates holding steady at 4ppm since starting prodibio... I'm contemplating your offer to trade but I'm on Long Island... I'll post a couple of shots at the height of production and after a fresh cleaning

28 days is my type of schedule. I am going to send them the skimmer lid bc I dont want to be messing oround with adjustments.

LI is a bit far for me to go for frags but if you want those two boxes of Prodibio, for you, you can have them both shipped for $60

For the record 28 days is because my skimmate locker was full. I have the small one... if you get the bucket one you could probably go longer.. but I guess it also depends how much skimmate your making. I do go to JCY for work on Tuesday's usually...not sure if that's helpful. Does that kits you have they include the biooptim and biodigest?

I sent my lid in also. They needed to do some custom work since it would have covered the airholes in my lid. Was very pleased with the service, packing and quality. I had an extra lid since I ordered an extra cup due to those stress cracks.

I love my swabbie. It does make a big difference on cleaning the skimmer.

I measured the space I have and it sucks, I have 2.60 inches above the skimmer lid.

I go about once a month or two months between cleaning my skimmer cup / swabbie now.

Skimmer still does pretty well, no complaints
