Asm G3 Drain Hole

I ORDERED A G3 WITH ALL THE MODS AND THEY DRILLED A HOLE FOR A 1" UNISEAL. MY DRAIN HOSE IS 1 1/2". DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DRILL A HOLE IN THE SKIMMER TO FIT A 1 1/2" UNISEAL? IS IT DIFFICULT TO DO? I DONT WANT TO BREAK MY SKIMMER :grumpy:

Shouldn't be too hard. One of the guys on the board should be more than happy to help you extend the hole.

Thanks Kris They Say That I Need A 2 1/2" Hole To Fit The 1 1/2" Uniseal. Anyone Know How To Do This? Or What I Need To Do It? Thanks...

Probably just a hole saw that will cut acrylic/plastics. There was a thread not to long ago, lemme see if i can find it.

instead of cuttin ur skimmer why dont u find a reducer fitting from 1 1/2" to 1" to fit your current hose to fit inside the uniseal that is there already instead of making the hole bigger... just a thought...

Probably because it'll reduce the amount of GPH he can get through his drain .

it will prob. need to be reduced anyways... doing a recir. mod isnt the max gph anyone should go with is 200gph...

Agreed on that point T.

Andy you might want to T off your drain line, part running to the skimmer and part running into the sump.

true. i believe the recommended flow through rate is 1 to 1.5x the total system volume per hour. You should definitely T it off.
