Hello guys,
I'm looking for some help in my world of reef and fishtank..
I currently have a mixed reef 220g tank with 75g sump...
I have problems with water chemistry and would like to invite any fellow reefer to come an advise me...I love this hobby and would like to do things the proper way...And most of you guys here have helped me to understand more..
I'm in Elmont LI....Any help would be appreciated

Can you give us a little more specific info..do you know what your parameters are? Are you having an algae issue? Why are you saying you are having a water chemistry issue?

Hey sorry guys...
Lighting Fathom LEDS
Phosphate reactor one with carbon other with Phosban..
My nitrates are 60-80ppm range...
my phosphates are 2.5..
i have an asm g3 modded skimmer...
i have plenty of flow as well..2 koralia 1400 and maxijet 1200
i just did a 40 gallon water change last week and parameters still te same...going to do another one today..
Looks like i have some cyano as well...

Just want to learn from an experienced reefer the proper way...
Coming from FOLWR to mixed reef is the goal

Have you checked the RO/DI water with a TDS meter lately??
obviously your nitrates/phos are high...
Do you overfeed your fish??...don't know what kind of bioload is on the tank.
With that kind of water volume even water changes of
10% a week would be about 30 gal.

I will have to get TDS meter...But tested the water and there are definitely phosphates in the water...Changing out all my filters tomorrow...
I have a 220 with a 75g sump so total system is about 260g

Pree. Come by tomorrow and pick up TDS meter. Your inhabitants play a big part bro. They are not the cleanest of eaters. I you want to take one of the PM skimmers and use it for a month to see if that is part of your issue, thats fine I am swamped anyway and wont get to it for a while. Hit me up tomorrow. After 11
