ok if you have that $ to spend then hands down get the atb 840 out of the 30+ skimmers ive owned this is probably the best balanced skimmer ive had. it will be perfect for that tank size and can easily handle a heavily stocked 120g system, i actually ran that skimmer when i had my 80g heavyyyyyy stock system, the skimz 181 would be another killer choice as well, personally i am not a fan of the octo line, bubble magnus makes a pretty decent skimmer as well.

Thanks

U few blocks from me, i got one SWC 180 , run on 75 Gal. feel free to call me , to see how works, i may put him (SWC 180) on timer 3 hours ON 3 hours OFF, i think is to powerfull for my 75 Gal. Is not bad Skimmer (around $350-$400).

no the atb isnt noisey, i owned a bk also and was not impressed with it bk mini 160. price per performance wasnt equal to alot of other skimmers. alot of skimmers will do the job, but like i said the atb was the most solid performer i had and ive had alot of skimmers

the atb is a better fit for your tank then the alpha 170, owned one of those also, and once again dont waste your money on the bubble king, in reality you could just get a bubble magnus nac7 cone and do as good of a job as any of the above, but the atb would still be my first choice

Thanks, or buddy of mine has the Vertex 300 on a 210 gallon tank and it seems like solid skimmer and dead silent. Noise is a big concern here after performance. I can't seem to find any videos of the ATB skimmer in action.
