Hi M/R I came across this documentary short video about pistol shrimp and it's hard to believe that this shrimp snaps and makes noise but now I know the real cause of why it makes noise. Very nice video.

Wowwwwwwww that's crazy I guess it's a good thing I didn't get one in my tank otherwise he would have killed my cleaner shrimp, and I now I know what happened to my friends cleaner shrimps lol I'm gonna show him this video. Great stuff

Mine doesn't attack my 2 cleaner shrimp. He does knockout my crabs when they pass by his hole but he doesn't eat them.

i have cleaner shrimp in my tank along with pistol shrimp. so when feed them I hear pistol shrimp snapping very clearly. I think when ever any fish passes by his cave he snaps but I try to find my cleaner shrimp everyday when I come home to see it he is still alive.

I have a few in my tank that came in as hitchhikers, not sure if they will become a problem in the future. I have never seen them to ID but they snap constantly.

I have 2 cleaner shrimps and a coral banded.

I have noticed my shrimps sleeping on the locline way above where they use too. Could be a sign of fear. I added a yasha to try and let them pair up but so far I haven't had any luck.
