So last night when I got home from work at 11pm Well after my lights have been off for a while. I was doing my usual night time tank spying and for the first time I found some creepy little thing scooting along my back wall.... Looked almost like a snail came out of its shell. Or some type of slug. It had long antennas and looked almost like he had a tiny flat shell. It was maybe ... a tiny bit bigger than a dime. So naturally I freaked and tried to google it and when I went back for another peek it was gone.

does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? If I see it again do I catch it ? Or leave it alone? ....burn it with fire? Good or bad?
I wish I could have gotten a photo of it.

As for now ... I'm naming it Waldo.

for my tanks sake i hope there is only 1 waldo in my tank and no reproducing will be taking place
Back in September when i was buying my little cleaner guys i had a porcupine puffer, every time id buy nassarius snails i wouldn't see them like the next day. figuring my puffer was helping himself to a little expensive treat i kept buying them not knowing they go UNDER the sand. now.... 6 months later while night feeding my rock anemones parts of silversides, it looks like the freaking living dead in my tank ... little elephant trunk thingys rising up from my sand bed from every corner in my tank, clumsily mowing over everything... i have about maybe 20+ in my 45g tank. think i'm going to start trying to catch them next time i feed my nems. ughh.

you are not gonna get a better clean up than the stomies they eat algae fast, the freaking things go in side my mp10s and clean them spotless, keep some of the nasarius they are good at eating uneaten food damn things even eat pellets.. I enjoy seeing these little things working in the tank if you look enough you find something new all the time.

I wouldn'y get rid of any cleaners. You will find that they go in cycles. If your tank has the food they need they will multiply. Then for some reason or other they disappear and another critter starts multiplying. So just enjoy them while you have them. If you get too many it means you have to much of what they like to eat.
