Phosphate pad

Anyone use the carbon or phos pad from deep blue?

It made my skimmer go crazy!

The nitrate and phosphate pads are no joke. dropped my nitrate and p04 level quick. Sps growth took off and colors are vivid now... Cheap to. $4. a pack.
Actually stopped running gfo. Just dropped them in my sump. thats it.

Can u send me a pic if where u have it in your sump. I added a left over piece in my tank and my skimmer has been overflowing since yesterday lol. I haven't used the carbon. Pad yet

Just laid it down where I had space after my skimmer. As long as water is flowing. I have fast flow through my sump. I'm guessing that helps.
Skimmer worked as normal. No overflowing.

I used a piece of PolyPad in my tank and it sent my skimmer into overdrive>>>filling up the cup every minute or so . I finally had to shut my skimmer down for a few days. I read somewhere(not sure where) that it had lowered the surface tension of the water and that caused a reaction with the skimmer.Not absolutely sure if this true or not but it definetely had an adverse reaction on my skimmer....

Yea that's what mine is doing. Just going crazy. I removed the pad LASTNIGHT but its still erupting lol
