Best saltwater LFS in metro area?????

Finally got into coral and started a reef tank, but all of the store in the area seem to have all the same stuff!!!! I'm looking for some exotic/ different coral plants , I'm tired if seeing the same ol stuff ... WHAt are the best saltwater fish stores in the metro area!!!! Live in westchester and don't mind traveling to a great place!!!!!!! Please HELP!!!!!!

I haven't been there yet but I'm dying to go, Coral Theory in Brooklyn. I hear nothing but great things about them. There are many others, like Aquarium Village in Westbury, Pets Warehouse in Copiague and Maximum Reefs in Westchester (I think?)

First thing coral are not plants!!!

Next is you need to go to Coral Theory!! that shop has a great selection of coral I would start out with smaller peaces until you learn how to keep them. know what lights you have to match up what ever you plan to buy with you system.

Thanks for all the responses!!! Yes I know corals are not plants it was a typo!!! "Corals or marine plants"... But I went to LI to tropical island aquarium last night and I was very satisfied. Very nice store, clean and well stocked with fish and coral!!!

I see at least 3 vendors on the Frag Swap attendee list that arguably carry the most exotic corals in the US. Get there early if you go.

I think teh email you're referring to has it worded as "like free" from the freebies they are including. I still see a $25 admission fee.

It all depends on what you are looking for to mean best. The two stores in CT are overpriced and there are two Lfs in NJ that carry every fish they carry for a fraction of the cost. If you are looking for dry goods then that is also a different story as well. I can't personally speak about the shops in LI because I don't go out there. I would rank manhattan aquariums very low on helpfulness and a ver poor attitude. They do get nice corals but dealing with them is not worth it.
