Set up the new tank...
Transfer all water, rock, sand (cause its only 4m old)...
Top off the new bigger tank with new salt water...
Profit.

What else is there to do, dude? lol

Word of advice, ditch the canister filter and get a sump. Get more rock. Dont use bioballs if you get a sump.

Dude. Preprep! using buckets to transfer water or hoses? ( I use one of my powerheads with a hose from my sand syphon vac to transfer water and for water changes also so I can easily transfer water) Mix new water night before. Day of transfer water and rocks leave enough water for the livestock... test for leaks on new system (you should have done this already with ro/di water if you have complete new setup complete if not then the hard way)... then rest of rocks.... then livestock... move heater to new tank and half of power heads...
then stir the sand in the old tank and once its good and cloudy pile the sand in one corner and wait a few for the stuff to settle... syphon off all the bad stuff (save half of the clearer water as you don't want to throw out all the good stuff still in it just the crud... finally transfer the sand to the new tank by placing in a clean plastic bag... place bag with sand into new tank bottom and slowly... slowly dump the sand in and spread gently (it will be less cloudy than dumping from the top thru water!!!!)... That done now stack your rock and new rock... top off tank with additional new water of same salinity and temp (important!!!!)....
That done add whatever you need in water to your sump...turn on return pump then skimmer and anything else you have to run... top off for perfect level.... mark the perfect level on your sump so you know min perfect level...run til the are no bubbles entering the display tank.... that done turn off the return and watch the level of backflow in the tank if any ( mine backups about 3-5 gallons) Mark that level on the sump as you max water level if you are comfortable ( if not take a few gallons out. I like a 3-4 inch max level from top of my sump. mark that level.)
Turn it all back on and you are done max time if you preprep approx. 3 hours
Once that is done pay the invoice I sent you for the time/headache saving info I gave! LOL just kidding. Info and help is free in this community!
