Well that depends on what you find. But maybe you should not add what I do.

But most shells (if they don't smell) , rocks, jewelry, and ceramics are fine. Don't add driftwood or anything half dead.

i see some snails around my beer ????!!!!!!!:shocked1:

Will I went 2 months ago with my kids to the water strip off the belt parkway, just was trying to see what I will find there, well the wetsand was full of black small shell snails I collected about 20 of them, wellnow they are in my tank, & I have to say that they are all going just fine, helping with algae control, I want to go and get some more & to see if Ican get some type of small crabs.

Those small black snails are most likely mud snails, Ilyanassa obsoleta. They are one of the few local things that will survive for years in a tropical reef tank. They don't eat algae though....the are eating over it, getting whatever else is edible. They are excellent scavengers of leftover food or dead animals. In my grad school days, we would collect from various locations, and keep some of the specimens in tanks. (It was legal for us at the time.) Toadfish and blackfish would do very well. Founder were a pain...they had to be kept in tubs chilled by running water. I have personally kept killifish, sheepshead minnows, and blowfish (northern puffers) in cold water tanks. The puffers are cool, but they are such pigs I had to do constant water changes to reduce the nitrate level.
