Quiet sump drain

How could I reduce the noise of my drain for my sump. The crashing sound drives me nuts !

that will help slow the flow going into the tank IF he hasnt turned the dial all the way down on the pump itself already. as for the drain noise put the pvc or drain tube 1 inch or so into the water and the noise will go away.

He has the drain under the water already, I think it's still a little too strong even when dialed down.

What size tank is this again? That pump is max output of 500gph, on the low setting I think 300gph..it shouldn't be too strong if the tank is at least 30 gallons, but if he wants to dial it back even more he will have to use what you posed a pic of in his return plumbing.

It's the 30g shallow rimless from deep blue. I think it could also be the crappy durso that it comes with.
