How did you plum the external refugium?

How did you plum the external refugium?

I just stuck my return from the sump into the 30 gallon tank, drilled a hole in the back of the 30, had the 30 stand alittle taller than the 46 and then it drained into the 46 and then into the sump. Nothing special and simple.
