Plumbing return pump ??

i am planning on having a quiet one 3000 which pumps 780 gph on my 30 gal(too much???) the outlet is 1" and i want to have 2 1/2 returns into the tank , what is the best way to do this, i cant seem to find a 1 inch Y redeucing to 1/2. should i just reduce the 1" off the pump in to 1/2 and just a Y in???
any suggestions??

Not sure but that might create more back pressure on the pump.

If you can't find the Y, your idea should work. Get a 1 to 1/2 reducer and then get a 1/2 all around Y or T.

use tubing, just get the right barb fitting

wouldnt it be better to stick with the 1" Y and then reduce to 1/2" afterwards to minimize friction to the latest point. Anyway after the split the flow will be less on each side.
