which paint

After long and strenuous considerations, I decided to make my own stand (again). My only problems is that I will need to paint it inside my apt and have a todler on the loose. I want to make sure the fumes from the paint are not dangerous to my daughter :hug:

Can anyone recomend an appropriate paint with low fumes but still usable inside (and outside) the stand? I know Ill be paiting inside the tand white but have not decided which color to make the outside yet.

My husband is planning to paint our stands with some type of marine.paint used for boats. Is there anywhere you can bring the stand to paint it so you're not inside the apartment? We have a 2 car garage, but we're in Bethpage if you want to bring it here?

Ahhhh I have been think about the same thing. I can't bring mine outside tho cuz everything is kinda screwed to the wall and floor

That's my problem...once I build this monster, it will be very heavy and bulky and I don't even think ill be able remove it out of the apt, forget somewhere else entirely

Do you know if they are low odor? and whetehr they can be used/painted inside?

There are low odor/low VOC paints out there

That's the exact paint I used very low odor and its holding up great

Kilz latex primer with a quality exterior latex top coat. All low VOC's and will hold up great.

ive tried a few different paints, but found this to be the best, water and stain resistant. any paint that has epoxy will work though

but would this be safe while having a baby runing around?
The benjamin moore green promise states that you can even have kids help you paint (meaing they feel its totally safe).

I prefer better option and durability in paint for the stand but at the same time trying to find the middle ground in terms of safety around children.

usually things that are environment and health safe, are not durable. like mentioned above do it when nobodies home and well ventilated.
