Right now I have a Tunze 9020 on my tanks I like that it is low profile (great clearance) but its super picky. I will have it dialed in but only one side (basically two skimmers in one) will skim and then at some point gets out of tune. Also the cups up top get gunk on them making it so it can't skim out the drains. I have it draining into a 5gal bucket which is nice.
Now I am thinking of swapping it for a RO-160. I connected tubing to have it drain into a bucket like the 9020 but am I going to run into the same problem with constantly having to clean the collection cup part to keep it skimming? There isn't much clearance so if I do have to often this could be a reason not to switch and just keep messing with the Tunze.
Btw I have about 100g total.
