pump for reactor

i am looking to run rowaphos in a next reef shorty reactor, but im not sure what size pump i should use on the reactor, any advice on what size pump? tia

If the Shorty is going to be hung on the rim of the tank you can get away with a small pump like the Minijet 606.

If you're placing it in an area where head pressure becomes an issue, then you'll need to consider the backpressure on the pump. At that point we'd need to know how high you're mounting it and if there are any plumbing fittings attached.

hmm i will have to measure i guess i would guess head pressure 5-6'
to be honest i never even thought of handing of rear of tank?

I didn't think of this earlier, are reactors sized for amount of gallons it can serve?
Nr shorty, can use on. 150 with approx 35 gallon sump? Or should I be looking for bigger reactor?

When I ran Phosban which is like Rowaphos on my tank I used a mini jet. I think you need slow flow like 200 gph or even less. Hope this helps.
