Help setting up UV

I have this 15w UV I was thinking of hooking up but can't figure out how. I checked the instructions but there appears to be an extra barb on one end and looks like it was cut at the other.

thats odd, the aqua ultra violets dont have 2 ports for the bulb to be inserted at both ends especially for only a 15 watt. assumption is you got it used, not sure why one end looks like it was cut is that end capped? and also the end where the extra barb is coming out by the wire is not standard meaning the person modded it to have that for some reason possibly to allow air ventilation but not sure why. does the quartz sleeve that the bulb get inserted go all the way through from end to end of the sterilizer?

You're going to have to find a plastic thread plug to plug that hose barb side. I'm surprised that the other end has a opening. You might need to take off that thread coupling and see if you can find a threaded cap to fit it. Make sure it's PVC. Once that's done, you set the pump on the cord side of the UV.

What pump would be recommended?

How big is your tank? You don't want it moving too fast.
