I use c. prolifera. I am growing it to help outcompete the hair algae too.

I have it in the DT since I don't have a sump and a few times it releasing some milky substance but that was because I have a short lighting schedule of just 5 hours. I added a 3W actinic LED bulb for 6 more hours after the lights go off and didn't have that issue. It's not really that large of a bunch to cause an issue.

You just have to keep it under control by pruning it.

I have it in my fuge and it grows in there solely and when it's reaching out I scoop it back into fuge

I never used Caulerpa. I read about going sexual and being invasive and I didn't want to deal with that headache down the line. I really like Ulva and Codium since you could also feed your fish with it. Tangs love it.
