Just made my son a new micro reef for him to care for and I wanted opinions as to what to put in it , it's all set except for the light that I will replace with a ai nano I have.

I have a 7.5 at work and just have one small clown, yellow goby and 2 crabs. Going to add a pistol shrimp this week. With a tank so small the water evaporates so fast. GL and I am sure he is going to enjoy the tank.

Congrats on your sons new set up, for fish I would personally do Something color full, like a yasha goby and pistol shrimp, yellow stripe cardinal, and a pygmy wrasse, they are all colorful and you would cover every level of the tank, as far as coral go I would start of with just softies. And see how he responds to handling them, as he matures and gets experience thru your guidance let him decide what he would put in their.
