Salt creep

When messing with my tank tonight I noticed salt creep coming off some of the plumbing in back. Is this normal? One spot is where a Tlf valve is there was a salticle and another spot up top where a Y is both on the return.

Salt creep build up comes from splashing or possible a leak. It also might mean check your water parameters. Magnesium might needs to be check. Calcium could be low. Also removing top of tank helps oxygen and mixs gases exchange may play a role in it to. Make sure you check salinity.

From my experience the tlf valves aren't the greates build quality. I think we spoke about that and we ordered new ones when we were setting up those tanks. Also the clamps might need adjusting where the y's are.
