I have a few of the Mexican turbo snail and they clean green algae off my glass better than I do. :-/
I never had bubble algae (of any kind), but then again my setup is new. Based on what I read, it is a pretty serious condition to warrant a tank breakdown. I do hope that I don't get it. I'm tagging along to learn more.
Good luck with eradicating the bubbles.
