I am not sure why so many members here want to beat Jebao(not just the WPs) to death in this forum without actually testing one of their product. Everyone has the right to suspect inexpensive products are made cheaply but blindly arguing they are 100% bad is not proper. Similarly, arguing a high priced item to be a rip off blindly is also not proper. May be you got burned too many times when buying lower cost items but it does not render a lowly priced product that you have not even tried as a bad one by default.

I see many members of other forums welcome products of Jebao after using them. In fact, even Reefbuilders reporters loved their DC pumps made for Waveline and other OEM companies last year. This year Jebao updated the some-what-loved DC pumps with even more advanced impeller design to increase flow and head; their ceramic axle is the largest we have ever seen(even many professional aqua critics agreed that those are AWESOME characteristics in a pump and not skimming in material). A year has passed, I have yet to hear some one complained their DC pumps, so I assume the wave pumps can carry on the same durability. I also heard they have designed an even better disc propeller for better flow-I have not seen it yet so I assume it's just marketing. But from the trend that it is going, they seem to be interested in improving products and innovating things. I do not expect WPs to be as appealing as the MPs but at least I think they are much better value than my korlia. I owned, Tunze, MP, Korlia, Maxijets, Rio and many others. The only brand in powerheads that has not failed so far is Tunze. But Tunze products also have their issues, the mounting of their older powerheads are horrible and the wavebox is a joke and I paid good amount of money for it, ending selling it like a plastic box. Their wave controller is not better than the Jebao in design. Tunze is bigger and I assume it can take more beating than the Jebao but they are just similarly designed for simplicity. In fact, I found the Tunze confusing at first. Why no one ever bash the Tunze's controller over the Vortech's? Also can someone tell me what's the big difference in the Jebao's controller's functions vs the Vortech's beside the wireless linking of 2 pumps. Aren't both have couple predefined modes and speed control? I feel the Vortech's has a finer touch but that's about it, nothing really that big a difference. I am not sure why so many of us judge Jebao just by the price not by the product. I heard even the BIG names in skimmers want to copy Jebao's idea of variable speed skimmers. Yet another innovation I have been waiting some factory to make years back. I have the idea years back but I cannot make a DC water pump, isn't it fantastic some new company explore new frontiers? Shouldn't we encourage this type of company to go further, rather than trashing them right when they start? I do not expect Jebao to be the next hero of reefing product company but without actually using them and commenting on them is just nonsense. BTW, the Tunze's skimmer I owned was also a joke-for $900+ it under preforms my $200 Octopus. I bought the their wavebox and skimmers because I loved their powerheads and blindly think that anything they made are good. I sold the Tunze skimmer for sub $200, LOL

the $20 frag is non-matriculated.....therefore a lower price. costs of education had escalated exponentially.....lol.

auto correct feature?.....maricultured -->matriculated....lol.

most overpriced equipment is the one that doesn't deliver what you need/expected. for me it was the aquamedic doser. figgited with the darn thing for months. it never dosed the correct amount and ended up having to dose manually constantly. finally gave up and went with a combination of calcium reactor and kalk reactor......very happy with them.

That's what happens at 3:00 AM!

I have to retract a little bit about Tunze, I do have two nano stream mal-fucntioning but I took it as normal as every single brand of small powerheads I have, failed one time or another. See, I am still stuck up with the good impression of the BIG Tunze that I forgot their small ones have failed. LOL.

i don't think gasoline is overpriced......european and asian gas prices are more expensive than ours.....especially if you factor in the income/living expense ratio.
reefing is a hobby and any hobby is not a necessity...therefore any hobby is overpriced?
gasoline is a necessity for me.

The reason I started this thread is hopefully these company's will read this and see that many people feel the price is unfair and hopefully lower it. If not then just to see if I'm the only one who feels this way but apparently I'm not. And who's hating? Why did u read this then lol
