So this morning when I was coming out the shower I decided to stop for a few seconds to check my tank before I head to work right.... To my surprise I see a new fish there, well ( not new) but after thinking it was dead my yellow flanked wrasse was swimming and healthier fatter than ever like nothing had happened. For 2 months I thought this guy was gone. Funny the things that happen in our tanks huh.... Btw I moved the rock 3 weeks ago and he wasn't in any of them, probably he was in the sand.

Many times. Same thing has happened with fish. I had a beautiful Linckia Multifora in my tank. Disappeared and left for dead. Had to be minimum of 6 months later, maybe as much as 8 months later it miraculously reappeared. One of the reasons I love this hobby.

It's happed to me. I found a couple of royal gramma in my sump 6 months after I added them to my display. I qt'd them for a month added them to the tank and gone the next day. I added them small and found them doubled the size.

I went to a customer tank, first visit freshwater tank.

I pop open the canister filter and remove the baskets and in the 1" area at the bottom of the filter i find four guppies. they where clear and colorless. they where fully grown and must have been sucked into the filter as babys and grown up in the filter.

I moved the rocks it wasn't there, took most of the rocks out, inspected them (yes inspected them ;) .... Don't know where it was then! Perhaps it took a trip to the Caribbean .... Your educated guess is as good as mine... I GUESS...
