I am able to maintain my temp below 83 using a fan and turning off my lights and the pump to my skimmer. I have it all hooked up to an AC Jr., which automates the whole process and makes it easier, but there is no reason the same thing could not be done manually.

Why buy a chiller, all they are is a glorified expensive air conditioner.
If you have your tank in a room with at least one window and one door, buy a room air conditioner, that way you and the tank can keep cool.
Are you sure you tank reached 94 degrees?
Water that reaches that temp, corals usually bleach out.

Trade Wind drop in chillers. Easy to install, reliable and in the rare case that something does go wrong, you can bring it to any appliance repair shop and get it fixed on the spot rather than wait to ship it out and return.
94 does sound way too high to have no negative results. What did you use to measure temps?
If the room is a good candidate for A/C, you can do what gettanked said above that way you get the benefit of a cooler room as well. I always suggest a chiller though.
