Spa hose

What is the down fall of using spa hose for the return ? Do you use the same type of fitting like PVC or does it use its own brand of fittings? I have only used PVC and wanted top try spa hose for a long time

Price. It's not that cheap compared to PVC.

I'm not sure I've seen it used as return just drain.

If you're talking about 'flex' PVC, I use it before and after my return manifold, for past 7+ yrs ... No problems, actually less noise because of reduced vibrations

Spa hose is the ribbed tubing used for pool vacuums different the flex PVC.

used it as my drains and returns to the basement loved it easy to use but cost more

I've used it several times the only cons is the price compared to rigid PVC. I actually prefer it to rigid because being that it is flexible it will cut down on number of fittings used

Love Flex Pvc. There is nothing not to like about it. Yes it fits in the same pvc fittings. It is a little more expensive. however it is much more flexible(pun intended).
