these can be found in the west coast but are originally from australia. i really like the fact that they have a maroon foot and spit babies out of their mouth. when the tide goes down they are exposed to air and withdraw into a blood red bubble

Waratah Anemones grow to about 4 cm across.
Waratah Anemones eat shrimp, worms and fish.

they wait for prey to come past. Prey sticks to their many tentacles. They sting their prey to stop it getting away. The anemones pull their prey into their mouth with their tentacles.

Fish, crabs, starfish and some sea slugs all eat Waratah Anemones
