What is the proper Ph

What is the proper ph for a fish only tank. To keep the fish healty. And does anyone now the ich life cycle if I took all my fish out of my tank how long will it take for the ich to finish its life cycle and naturally disappear from the tank.

For a fish only tank you want to keep the Ph atleast 8.0 and up to 8.4. Anything in that range will be fine.
