IP camera suggestion for reef tank monitoring

Hey guys I have a Foscam FI8910W and was wondering what cameras you guys use or recommend. I'd like to get something with higher solution and there are so many choices out there.

It's a great camera but I would like something with higher resolution, don't get me wrong the camera looks amazing though. I like the ability to watch it on my cell phone while I'm working, and the microphone option, etc..

Foscam has a 720p cam i think its the fi9821w.

Yeah, I saw that one on the site. It received good reviews also. I was thinking about getting it soon.

I have the FI8910W as well. On my iphone it looks great, on my ipad its a bit lo-res looking. I would be curious to know if the higher quality effects the streaming frame rate though. My connection at home is fios with 60 down and 30 up and if I'm not on at least a 5 down connection on the other end the frame rate is really slow. If I'm on LTE its pretty damn good though. I have three different programs I use on my iphone to view and control the cam and all three give different results.

If anyone has the 720 version, I'd love to see how well it streams via wifi and LTE.

I'm using a D-Link dcs-902l i believe. I have it mounted to the overflow side of the tank with a flexible suction cup mount and i found a $20 fisheye lens for it. It's been working great, no issues.

I was wrong, I have the DCS-930L. I'm very happy with it. The app they have for the iphone is nice. I had my brother help me hack together some javascript and now I can just go to a web page and get a live updating feed. I'm very happy with it. It's the basic resolution one. The one you posted looks really nice I'd love to see the images out of that one. Mine was only $60 on amazon.

The dlink looks nice, but you can't pan or tilt with it like you can the foscam.

Also, keep your eyes peeled on Groupon if you are interested in the foscam. I bought mine on there and it was about $30 cheaper than on amazon.

The foscam is ok. I used to have it on mine.

Chinese 720p cams are the best bang for the buck. I currently have a Tenvis IPROBOT3, and it works pretty well. You get full 30fps, and when viewing through IE you get 720p.

The price has gone up about $10 since I bought it. It has 5x digital zoom, where most other cameras for the price have none.
