What to do?

I went to my lfs today an picked up a huge sun coral colony. About a half hour later I got a call from the manager there who I'm cool with asking for the coral
Back. One of his really big customers supposedly already put it on hold. What do I do. Also forgot to mention I didn't pay him
Yet he told me to pay next week since
I didn't have cash on me.

Return it. They asked nicely and as you said, you hadn't paid for it yet anyway. It's the right thing to do imo.

I would give it back: seems like you have a good relationship with lfs and its only going to get that much better with them now

I probably will return it, but I will never get another sun coral of this size... It's a 5-6 inch rock and it covers the whole thing both sides. Over 100 polyps.

So get a smaller one and grow it out. So much better when you work for the growth then to just buy it

For me to grow a suncoral frag into this Would take 20 years. I had a frag in my nano for a lil over a year and it grew one head

Kudos to the LFS for trying to get the piece back. I think a lot of places would just say sorry it got sold, we'll order you a new one or give a refund..
