Hi i have 55 gallon tank and its on my hallway on a carpet floor
I just noticed that the left side of the floor got lowered so the water level isnt equal
Should i be worried about this or does it not affect the tank?
And if this is a problem is there a way to balance it?
Thanks,

i used the plastic shims from home depot to level my tank out. they work well and are wont be effected if for some reason they get wet while working on the tank. uneven tank would a never ending headache/concern. you would more than likely have to drain the tank though to do this

the tank isnt so large that you can level it off without causing a huge project. if you do this take advantage and do some other maintenance you may have been putting off because it would be a pia to do with a full tank.

it depends how far out of level it is. 1/4" or so i wouldn't worry about.
my 150 is a little less than a 1/4, but so far no problem. i also had a 90 that was 1/2" side to side out, it was up for 4 yrs and never had a problem.

Leave about an inch of water in the tank and level it, then put the water back in. You may have to remove coral and fish but the least amount of weight in the tank the better. If you are completely prepared the process should only take about 20 minutes tops.
