I have a bubble tip on 1 of my rocks that I wanna get off. Anyone know a way to do it without hurting it? I put a strong wavemaker in the tank to keep a constant strong flow on him to see if he would move but it doesn't seem to be working

Powerhead would have been my 1st recommendation.

As a fall back plan, get the following together:

gloves
ziplock baggie
ice

Wear the gloves so you don't get stung.
Put the ice in the baggie and seal the baggie.
Place the ziplock with ice onto the base of the anemone.
The anemone should close up as well as begin to move away.

Voila`

I just had to remove mine, and powerhead didn't work either. So I took the rock out and just chiseled around the foot. As soon as it went into another tank he just dropped the pieces I chiseled and attached to another rock.

Just yesterday I tried getting one off by pulling it gently, big mistake, the foot ripped , it deflated and spilled white paste all over me tank.. stunk up the whole room. Next morning it was fine, still on the same rock..

Try picking up the rock its on and turning it upside up so the anemone is hanging upside down...it should start coming off on this own..works for me

are you pulling the rock out of the water? I tried but was scared off leaving it out of the water - how long can you leave it out of the water?

tried cube trick didn't work for me.

IMO, you could take it out of the water, and hang it over the tank or a container of tank water for a while, as long as you're there to keep on eye on it. Many vendors ship anemones with almost no water in the bag
