My new tank is a 180 so the weight will weigh just around 2000 pounds. My tank can only fit in one spot which means it will only hit 2 floor joists going long ways.. I already have a lolly column and getting a 2ft 4x4 steel beam to put on the lolly column since i have pipes and a boiler in the way i can only fit 1 column and using the beam to catch the 2 joists so the lolly column will be in the center of the steel beam. On the left side of the tank is my main header which is 3 2x8s sandwiched together the left side of the tank will be 6in away from that header so Im not concerned about that side im a little concerned when it get to the center of the 10ft 2x8 but the lolly column with the steel beam will be right there. Should i add another 2x8 to the 2x8 joists that the tank will be sitting on or if the 2 joists with the lolly column and stell beam enough? Please only respond if you know the answer i did the guess work already myself :)

i would remove the guess work and double up on the 2x8s and put the lolly at the end of tank. i have a 150 running parallel to the beams so i added 2 2x6 and beefed up a closet wall under the tank so i didn't need the lolly.

going to take a pic to show you guys my problems. I cant add a 2x8 all the way across the floor joists just from my main header to the lolly column. I have wires and pipes in the way so the new 2x8s will go from main header to steel beam with lolly column. I also cant put the lolly column at the end of the tank because that is where my sump is so it is at the 4ft mark of tank.

Sorry - I wasn't to clear - You want to avoid what they call a "point load" on the concrete slab. If their is to much pressure on 1 point of the slab the concrete will eventually crack. Lally columns typically have a large concrete footing beneath the slab to avoid this. So I would recommend putting a 1'x1' steel plate at the base of the column to help spread the load.
