One last hint, use the coral as a reference, you would see the size of my weed are big. Why would so many tiny pcs of them stuck in one place and mixed so much in pic #1?

is it some kind of decorator crab? was it decorating itself w/ macro algae?

Exactly!!!

My regular Rock tank (may be I should now call it weed tank) has large patch of green and large patch of red, but pic #1 has very tiny pcs of ALL different weeds tie to it. That's what catch my attention when I pass by my tank. I was saying how come suddenly there's a bulb of all algaes together, there must be something wrong. It turns out to be a decorator crab made a new clothe for himself.

Scarf you won a drink next time I see you.

What the hell happened to the crab? Did you kill it? It looks like something out of the movie Aliens.

You mean pic #2, right

No I did not,(it does not look like something I wanna eat.) It was like this on the beach when I found it. Something must have been trying to eat it and remove it from the shell, so I don't know if it's really giant hermit crab or not. I think it stops moving in less than 10 secs after I found it.
