I bought a Haitian anemone a few days ago. (Pink tip) I fed it pieces of shrimp, now one of my firefish is missing. I think he may have eaten it. I am not happy with this anemone. And it does not host clowns.

Atlantic condys are not know to host clownfish but in a fish tank they can. They also have a voracious appetite and will readily eat fish inverts and clowns.

They are very aggressive.

Most come from the atlantic ocean where there no clownfish.

Glutton.

I dropped a frozen cube of marine cuisine in the tank. Floated a bit and the current brought it right to the damn anemone. It took it in, frozen solid. This thing can eat. I've been feeding it daily. Mostly a small piece of shrimp placed on it with tweezers. I think it needs a new home. And soon.

IMO frozen food should not be dropped into tank without thawing and rinsing... Feeding that anemone more than a few times a month would be too much, I've kept them for yrs and don't think I ever fed them more than twice a month.

Dropping the frozen cube is never an issue. The fish don't touch it until it melts and the tank looks like a snow globe. If I tried to drop it into the anemone I wouldn't be able to do it. Twice a month to feed it? This thing would go on the hunt.

Dropping frozen cubes directly into the tank can be a HUGE issue. The frozen cubes have preservatives and such to keep them longer. When you just drop it in the tank you are adding those chemical preservatives to your tank as well.
Thaw the cube in a small cup of tank water, then strain it in a net over the sink. With the food still in the net, refill the cup with some tank water, then give the food another rinse over the sink. Then add the food with the net.
You will save yourself a lot of trouble down the road.
As for the anemone, twice a month will be fine for him as long as he has the correct light and flow. He shouldn't "go on the hunt" if he has sufficient light.

Some anemones can eat a whole lot more then twice a month.

It all depends on the species large hosting anemones like mertens magnificas gigantea in the wild snag small small peices of food daily. You should never feed a nem more then your pinky nail size unless your shaq and thats too big
