I notice in another thread some are running power compacts.
I'm running 130 watts about 2 inches from the tank.my tank is about 22 inches deep x 30 inches wide.I notice my corals are not growing as I think they should.Parameters are a okay: ph 7.9-8.2
amonia-0,nitrate-0,nirtite-0
calcium about 380 or so
I was thinking of getting some 2'ft vhos you think is necesary?

How big is the tank?
Whats your Alk and Mg?
How long is your photo-period?
Also what kind of corals aren't growing and how long have you had them?

-Kris
The tanks deepness is about 22 inches(39 gallons volume).
I don't test for mg. but the ph is 8.2.
I run the lamps minnium 9hrs
I have
1 kenya tree coral.
1 pink carnation and a orange carnation tree.
1 green open brain
1 white xenia
a few frags of zoas(3)
1 green colony polyp
1 gonipora
1 blasto
1 dying pinkish montipora
I had almost everything on average about 6 months with the exception of a few.
My Xenia went from 1 stalk to four but all small not growing.the green colony polyp took nice but now not looking as robust as before. The zoas are taking hold but just there -not expanding
