Almost done with my DIY stand for my 75G. Couldn't do it without all of the resources available on the forums. It's stronger than any of the stands available at the LFS and maybe I'm biased but I think it's nicer too.

Thanks. Painting it tomorrow. Almost sorry I didn't build new doors. I might give it a try so I can stain it instead of painting it to match the repurposed doors.

The ones that are there are from the old stand....MDF covered in some sort of laminate. They look cheap against the birch. I was willing to live with them but as the night wore on.....now I hate them.

They probably would look much better, if you painted them to match

Leave those on for now and just make new doors. Why have a project you are not happy with. Also since you will be making new doors maybe you could make side panel doors as well! That way you have access from three sides. Its an idea.
