converting tank

i'm thinking of turning my reef tank into an anemone tank. what do you think? any ideas on how to do it right?

Stick to one species.

Figure out what kinda flow you have and match your anemone to it. Also consider getting rid of open grid pumps

what is the risk of putting different types of anemones

its really more then the obvious they can walk into one another and one or both will die.

I think they also can use chemical warfare to clear other anemones from there area. especially ones that split like magnifica.

I think Rare clowns can shed more light on it. he really knows his Anemones

that would be very help full because i have a carpet and a bubble tip anemone in the same tank and they sorta seem like theyre getting along with each other because the tentacles are touching.

I have a decent mix if smaller anemones in my tank , no carpets or magnifica , they will sting each other if they touch but have never had a death yet after they get stung they usually move away , i recomend an oversize skimmer as well because if you feed then they will produce alot of waste

Okay, that's probably something I should upgrade anyways since I have a 46 with a 30 gallon refugium but only a skimmer rated for 100 gallons. I'm also thinking of adding a 26 gallon to the system too

If you add in the 26 gallons you shoukd be okay , dillution always helps i have a 90 gallon with 40 sump and a sro 2000 skimmer and its been working very well for me , the more water volume the better
