Pop coral and you save money and gas , just a 10 minute slow bike ride from bay ridge , they have anything you could want for your tank, and if John doesn't have it , he can get it ,, coral theory is also a great shop , bath ave aquarium is good and so is diamonds of the reef but its near ocean ave , other than that you got mr members selling all the time , welcome to the neighborhood .

Pop Corals is the best by far, Dave from Bath ave is ok.......whatever you do avoid the Royal Aquarium on 65th street.

Wow I didn't want to say it so I left it out but if you did already, I will second that notion , very expensive , overpriced , overpriced, mislabeled or fictitious names on some corals , overpriced and not so clean setup........... And overpriced.

I love pop corals so I would 110% recommend them, but would just like to add that Royal Aqua has some decent pieces as of late. If your in sunset you might as well see Reef Aquarium, key is to find out when they get new stock. But I'll go to john/pop corals first!

HEy thanks to all you folks...Ok tank is in the house now...90 gallon living room going to do an FOWLR this time,...maybe a big anemone,....got halides, cuz I just love the shimmer, and not afraid of the Con Ed bill cuz it wont be on twelve hours a day.....

Bedroom, probably going to go with an Innovative Marine 16 gallon reef.....Have my own Led lighting to go with that...and a skimmer....already,..in search of a tank only if anyone knows someone selling one....or maybe a Mr. Aqua looooong rectangle one....

What is Pop Coral's Address,....? Does anyone know if Eddie is still at Coral Theory?....I knew him from Wonderful World Of Fish in Astoria,..I lived right near it before I moved here, just this last week......Hey Saltwater in Brooklyn,...u say short bike ride to Pop Coral eh?.....I am looking for a bicycle too I think,...nothing Crazy I assume Target is a good close source for a simple NON PRO bike.....I have to Hop Stop Everything and figure out where I am,....thus far I only know how to get to Manahttan and Astoria pretty Much...LOL

However I am loving Bay Ridge thus far,...THANKS FOR THE WELCOME WAGON.

Does anyone Belong to the Brklyn Aquarium Society and go to meetings there?

My best recommendation for you is to get a city bike/light mountainbike. Large wheels, less effort to travel. Picked up a mountain bike from toys are us 2 years ago, not really good for long distance bike riding in the city.

aaaaah good advice,...so a CITY BIKE/MOUNTAIN BIKE?...HMMMM,...I guess I should research that...I must say I am SHOCKED how inexpensive BASIC bikes are nowadays....

Back when I was a kid,...a basic Mongoose ( that weighed a good bit )....was like $300 plus......add alloy forks and another 200 bills....

I bought a basic mongoose mountain bike a few years ago for like $180

Then again,....I just grabbed a dual 150w HQI 48" Currnet unit off another member for $100.....

I would go for something that is light weight and doesn't require much to ride, this is usually found in a city bike, but setting that can handle basic dirt roads and light trails, nothing to extreme.i bought one small one from toys r us for 200 2 years ago, and a another bike was given to me recently, I was surprised by how easy the city bike is to ride compared to the mountain bike, the bike that I was given does need work, but I still usually chose to take it over the mountain bike because I can easily go long distances but then again my mountain bike is really in good condition easy. Saltwaterguyinbrooklyn is right, check Craigslist first, usually find a few good deals there, and if not then toys r us. There are some bike stores in manhatten, and some near Coney Island but there prices are usually a bit higher.
