Bubble magus skimmer help

So I have a bubble magus nac3+ protein skimmer and my Atman 1100 pump died the other day. I bought a brand new pump and this one doesn't seem to work either. Am I doing something wrong?

Is it DOA when you plug it in? If so, the impeller might have gotten jostled during shipping. Remove the front of the pump and carefully rotate the impeller by hand (while it's unplugged). If you cant do that easily, remove the impeller from the pump and check inside for debris. Sometimes the shaft or impeller can break and get lodged inside. Replace the impeller and test it again. If its still not spinning, or making noise you got a DOA pump.

I would consider what Affordable Aquatic wrote thats good advice. I had the nac6 so im familiar with that pump. before all of that try plugging it in and shaking the pump under water in a bucket. sometimes air gets caught and stops the pump. While its out, run it in some white distilled vinegar.
