Ballasts Question -Electronic VS. Magnetic-

I'm using this setup:

It's a dual 175W metal halide with 220W VHO, check out the ballast box in the middle of the picture. I believe that is a magnetic ballast, right?

I'm think about to change it to this one:

I would like to know what is the differences bewteen Magnetic and Electronic ballast?

The options allow you to upgrade to an electronic ballast, therefore it stands to reason that it's magnetic.

BTW - I'm running the same exact electronic ballast w/o any problems for the past 1.5 years.
