What is the best way to test Mag. I want to get it up to 1600 to rid my tank of Bryopsis. Is mag somthing to test for will too much crash the tank??
or should I just add it slowly until I see a change in the Bryopsis.

How much should I add I have a 45gal I ordered it so I have not seen the directions on the bottle yet just trying to get a head start!

You want it at 1800

Get yourself a test kit for mag, and what you want to do is raise your mag slowly. Too much at one time will start to kill off corals.
