So I come he from school and notice that when my curtains are moved, half of my 6 gallon was being hit by sunlight. In this tank I have a few SPS, mostly zoas in that section though. If I have low nutrients, would it be Ok to allow this to happen? No fish in there, only CUC and a cleaner shrimp. The tank is usually kit by a par 38 but I focus it on 1/2 of the tank for 5-6 hours then switch.

It's fine.. Sunlight on a tank is kind of an overblown issue IMO. Unless it's so much that the sun is heating your tank, or you have nutrient issues and it's causing algae outbreaks, you should be OK.
