Ushio 175w bulb

I thinking of getting 2 bulbs to replace my reeflux 12ks ,,can anyone get any info on this bulbs ,how will it work on an elect ballast ?

It should look white. I was running Ushio on PFO AQ2-175MH-120V and it look very yellow, as a matter of fact piss yellow, even with two VHO actinics bulbs.

I used 175W Ushios on my old tanks years ago, they were pretty yellow with Hamilton ballast and two 110W VHO actinics.

I would look at either XM or Hamilton 14k, which I use. The Hamilton will give you more or an ice blue, and you probably wouldn't need the actinic.

Your coral will love the yellow of the Ushio but you wouldn't.

Totally agree!!

While you are thinking of changing bulbs, you should also consider swapping the ballast out with an 250W icecap, a little more power but so much more bulb choices and much better growth.

thank s for the help guys .i have a ready made fixture with the ballasts and wires connect with plugs ,,,so chaging my ballast would mean changing my fixture ,and that mucho $$$..
