Some of the questions I believe i know the answers to but would like confirmation and/or second opinions.

Q1: Can too much intensity from LED lighting be bad for fish/corals?
Q2: Can it be determined what intensity LED be set at to match T5 output? Or is this an impossible feat?
Q3: How much ramp up should you provide before LEDs hit their max intensity?
Q4: Should white and blues be set at the same intensity?
Q4a: If not what should the difference be between the two?
Q5: When purchasing corals the distributor more than likely has different lights then the one making the purchase. Similar to acclimating fish with a drip line should corals be acclimated to a new light source?

Q1: Yes
Q2: With a par/pur meter ($)
Q3: Depends how much led power over what space and livestock
Q4: Depends on what look you are going for and the ratio of the light (I like 3:2 blue to white personally)
Q5: YES - http://www.ecoxotic.com/community/aquarium-lighting/acclimating-your-corals-to-led-lights

How long should lights be on per day?
Do you mimic the real world? Ie.... 10 hours of light. Lights ramp for 3 hours. Max intensity for 4 hours. Ramp down 3 hours.

Based on that article (which was very helpful) dimming and paying attention to your livestock is the key. If you see signs of stress or bleaching simple reduce the amount of white "on" time and/or the intensity.
