Need help on coral ID

Hi I have a random coral growing on my live rock can someone ID please

not a coral ...looks like a type of algae which would explain the yellow tang checking it out....

I think he was just swimming by the tangs don't touch it. It turns completely white when the lights go off and then green about half hour after the lights go on.

Yes that's algae pull it out with twesers.

Halimeda algae, put it in your refugium or sell it. It's not a bad thing but it can deplete calcium if you have alot of it...

Halimeda algae... consumes calcium... not as much as some may think... but if you aren't dosing and you have SPS in your tank... you should watch your levels.
