Pump with water damage???

I bought this cal reactor for a steal because the pump is shot it was submerged in water during sandy!!
The mechanical side is fine does anyone know if I can fix the electrical side?

Pull the whole thing apart and take a look at the copper leads....make sure they are still connected. Google the wiring schematic for that particular pump.

Ok will do I can see the copper bristles r a bit corroded can they be cleaned?

take it apart, if it has brushes clean them. you will most likely have to change the capacitor. i don't know if its worth it, i think its a $65 pump.

You're going to have / pour hundreds of dollars into your tank, don't rely on a used pump... Do yourself a favor and buy a new pump.

They could be, but like others are saying, it might not be worth it.

Well here's the thing it was brand new b4 it was submerged by sandy so I figured If I could take it apart clean it up might just start up !

im with you, if it doesn't cost you anything then give it a try.
what can be fixed can be used again.

I started taking it apart but having trouble getting the electric side out of the housing hopefully get to look at it soon
