Feeding Anemone a dying fish

So I have a fish that is dying. He hasn't eaten for a few weeks. Sadly I don't have a qt tank set up so I have no where to put him. But it doesn't matter he's an hour away from going to the great big fishbowl in the sky.

.....I know this might come off harsh. I was wondering if I should cut him up and feed him to my anemone. Any thoughts?

i don't think its worth the risk, you don't know what its dying from.
food is one of the cheaper parts of the hobby.

Suprisingly this is not a bad idea but the cutting the fish apart thing is hard for me to do.

In the wild most times anemones are probably eating dead or dying fish. Especially sand dwelling anemones.

What you should be more concerned about is the size of the fish versus the anemone. Too big of fish and the anemone could get sick.

I have fed dead fish to my anemones with no problems but they are small fish not like a huge tang

Dont do it.
What does not digest will be expelled and put a strain on your system.
If you need to feed a nem it is better to feed it something without scales and bones.

The only reason i wouldnt do it is because you dont know exactly why the fish is dying , ive had a fish that got bullied and ripped apart by another fish so i know how he died and i fed the pieces to my anemones but i wouldnt risk it since you dont know the cause of illness

As long as u made him the right size the nem will have no problem. Dying fish is a natural food and if the fish was sick it wont affect the anenome. Parasites and bacteria are specialized and the fish and nem so far apart of evol tree you have no worries on that

So I never intentionally fed the anemone the fish. But I never found the fish either. I figured the CuC got him. This morning when I was checking out the tank I saw a very long skeleton right outside the anemone. So he got it! And he did one hell of a job on it too. It was a perfect skeleton, skulls, spine, everything in perfect condition.
