How I Clean my Rock

Thought I will share the way I clean my rocks. Maybe someone will find it intresting and give it a try. I know the video isn't that great but that is a turkey baster I am using to spray the rocks. My anenome got stung by my lionfish and that's why it looks that way.

Could you explain this a little? I see a bag on powered. Do you blow the detritus and tuff into power head so it collects in the bag?

Interesting method...I believe he's blowing his rocks of particles and the intake of his pwr head sucks it in and blows it into the mesh bag he has attached to it..

Sorry it took so long to respond. I forgot about this thread. I use a bag I got charcoal in once. But a filter sock will work. I put the sock over the powerhead and just blast away. Sometime I just my tongs and just stir the whole tank, kind of like mixing salt with a spoon. This gets the crap off the sand in addition to the rocks. I will leave the sock on for a few hours up to a day. Whatever is convenient.

I like the bag over the power head rig. I'm going to do it when I pick away bubble algae. No brainer thanks
