Custom stand questions

I want to upgrade to a deep blue 34 gallon frag tank 36x18x12. I have a small place and want to the stand to be 24 inches tall to fit under my TV that's mounted to the wall. Do you think I need to frame it out in 2x or can I get away with 3/4 plywood? I tried to post a pic of the area not sure it will post

I wouldn't put it under ANY electronics. Evaporation among other things will wreak havoc in the long run. Not to mention what could go wrong if somehow god forbid the tv falls.

Remember no matter how small the chance is ALWAYS plan for the arch nemesis known as:

Flat out simple , evap will zap and corrode your electronics in no time !!

Since I have had a my Nanos under the same TV for over three years it's not a issue. If I was putting a large tank it may be different. Can I get away with just plywood?

You will be fine with 3/4 plywood.

I would go with the 3/4 plywood... If the evap zaps the TV great excuse to get a better bigger tv!!!

3/4 ply is very strong ,,NO PROBLEM ,,build away.
